Two Worlds or the Benefits of Change of Scene

Vacations give you the opportunity to experience new places and also to be a new person. An unknown quantity, no one thinks of  you as the quiet one ,the daring one or the loud one. You get the chance to decide whether to explore other facets of yourself in a way that doesn’t threaten the security of friends and family or even your own.

This week I get to play the student. I don’t know how good I’ll be in that role because I am so used to being the teacher. The change of perspective makes it seem like a lesson worth learning.

The class is an art class in Provincetown, Massachusetts on the end of Cape Cod. I can’t wait to be on the ocean again. The wind and waves wash the tension away.Living on The Mississippi just can’t compare.

Rather than send sunburned, sandy and paint-streaked posts, I’ll share photographs of the area when I return. I wonder if I will be the same .
